Abstract:

All abdominal (either laparoscopic or open) surgeries want intra operative observation of O saturation(SpO2), mean vital sign, finish periodic event carbonic acid gas (ETCO2) and blood loss. This observation is important to stop intra operative adverse events. Blood loss should be monitored and must get replaced whenever essential. The objectives of the study is one. to seek out the distinction in intra operative factors like SpO2, mean vital sign, ETCO2 , and blood loss between open and laparoscopic surgeries Materials and methods: This was a prospective empiric study was performed over a amount of twelve months from October 2018 to October 2019. All abdominal surgeries (either laparoscopic or open surgeries) performed at department of surgical medicine, Government Royapettah Hospital, Tamilnadu, metropolis were enclosed within the study. All patients got physiological condition by ETGA and monitored values recorded intra operatively. ETCO2, vital sign, SPO2 and blood loss were recorded. These factors were compared between open and laparoscopic surgeries. Results were analyzed victimization normal applied math ways. Results: there have been no statistically important variations noted in SPO2, Mean BP and ETCO2, between all abdominal surgeries. Mean blood loss noted was a hundred and sixty.5ml, 192.7ml; 300.5ml in laparoscopic, lap aided and open abdominal surgeries severally.Hypotension was found a lot of among open surgeries (51%) compared to laparoscopic (18%) or lap aided (18%) abdominal surgeries (p=0.004). ETCO2 values >35 were recorded in sixty eight, 41%, thirty eighth in laparoscopic, lap aided and open abdominal surgeries severally. Conclusions: we have a tendency to over that there was no applied math distinction noted in intra-operative factors SPO2, Mean BP, ETCO2, between all abdominal surgeries. Mean blood loss, cardiovascular disease and blood transfusions were noted a lot of among open than laparoscopic abdominal surgeries. cardiovascular disease was considerably related to open surgeries compared with laparoscopic abdominal surgeries.
