Abstract:

Abdominal cocoon conjointly referred to as �Encapsulating serosa sclerosis� (EPS) may be a rare explanation for obstruction presenting as a surgical emergency. it�s delineated as thick, white, fibrous �cocoon-like� membrane, shaped by chronic intra-abdominal fibro-inflammatory method that leads to formation of animal tissue sheets, that shaped a �second abdominal cavity� containing variable amounts of intestine segments that cowl, fix and ultimately constrict the gut compromising its motility. we have a tendency to gift a case of acute obstruction thanks to primary disorder Sclerosing Encapsulating rubor (SEP). The diagnosing was established and early incision was through with surgical unleash of the entrapped intestine and complete removal of the fibrotic membrane.
