Abstract:
Context: Acute ileus is that the main surgical emergency drawback that a general MD has to face place a day no matter day and night. its quite a exciting expertise to look at, investigate, diagnose, explore, and appearance into the abdominal cavity wherever it might reveal the puzzling conditions. This study is to assess cases of acute intestinal obstruction.
Aims: to review the clinical profile in adult patients with acute ileus
Methods and Material: This study was conducted in a tertiary care hospital of community Telangana. During the study amount, the entire range of patients with Acute ileus WHO underwent surgery was seventy five.Total range of acute internal organ obstruction with conditional identification was 234. They were evaluated for clinically and imaging. Statistical analysis used: applied math analysis was done exploitation ratios and share
Results: a complete of 234 patients with conditional diagnosis of acute ileus wherever diagnosed of that seventy five patients underwent emergency surgery. On analysis of etiological factors external hernias (53%) is that the commonest explanation for acute. Intestinal obstruction, followed by adhesions and bands (28%). This study showed male preponderance (83%) against females (17%). Incidence in relevancy age was found most in 51-60yrs (33.3%). Most common presentation is pain (100%) abdomen.
Conclusions: External rupture is that the commonest cause of acute ileus with male preponderance. people affected most is sixth decade. commonest presenting symptom is pain abdomen
